Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Voimara, a personal brand operated by an individual developer ("we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of our product marketing website ("the Website") as well as the K-Suomi mobile application ("K-Suomi" or "the App"). In these Terms, the Website and the App are referred to collectively as the "Services".

By accessing the Website, or downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not access the Website or use the App.

1. The service

K-Suomi is an application designed to support users as they move to, live in, and integrate in Finland. The App provides guidance and informational content related to immigration and Finnish-language learning, including courses, lessons, flashcards, speaking and comprehension practice, summarized news with links to original sources, as well as an AI assistant that supports users in their learning and in navigating life in Finland.

Some features of the Services are provided free of charge, while others may require a premium subscription.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
  • You need an account, created via Google, Sign in with Apple, or email/password.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time inside the App (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is subject to a 7-day recovery grace period, after which your data is permanently removed, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App or its content;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law;
  • interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, our servers, or other users' accounts;
  • abuse features to obtain benefits you are not entitled to (for example, manipulating progress, XP, or free-trial eligibility);
  • use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and auto-renewal

K-Suomi offers optional auto-renewable premium subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • Plans and price. We currently offer a monthly plan (premium_1m) and an annual plan (premium_12m). Prices are shown in the App at the point of purchase and vary by storefront and currency; for reference, EU pricing is €7.89 / month and €68.90 / year. The price shown at purchase is the price that applies.
  • Free trial. A free trial (currently 3 days) may be offered to eligible new users, limited to one trial per account. If you do not cancel before the trial ends and you subscribe, the applicable subscription price will be charged.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Managing and cancelling. You manage or cancel your subscription in your store account settings — Apple ID (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store → Subscriptions). Deleting your K-Suomi account does not cancel a store subscription; you must cancel it separately.
  • Payments and refunds. All payments are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card details and cannot issue refunds directly. Refunds are governed by Apple's or Google's policies; request them through the respective store.

5. AI-generated content — important disclaimer

Parts of the App use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate answers, explanations, and translations. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. It is provided for informational purposes only and is not legal, immigration, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Immigration and administrative rules in Finland change and depend on individual circumstances — always verify important matters with the relevant official authority (for example, Migri, Kela, Vero, or a qualified professional) before acting. You use AI-generated content at your own risk.

6. Third-party content and attribution

The App may display summaries of news and information from third-party sources, together with attribution and a link to the original source. That content belongs to its respective owners and is provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party content and do not endorse it. Please refer to the original source for the full and authoritative version.

7. Intellectual property

Except for third-party content described above, the App and its original content, features, learning materials, and design are owned by Voimara or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that harms other users, us, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content (including AI-generated content) is accurate or reliable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including your mandatory rights as a consumer). Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
